I absolutely love listening to worship music!
There is no other kind of music that can ever compare to the beautiful words written by people who are inspired by their love for Christ.
Whenever I’m feeling stressed, or a little agitated.. if I turn on some praise and worship songs, all of the negative emotions just seem to melt away, and in their place comes peace, joy, and contentment.
I really love the classic hymns because I feel they have so much deep emotion. They were all written from such a place of love and adoration for their King.
But, that’s not to say that I don’t love the music that has been written in the present as well.. groups like Casting Crowns, and Selah.. They are wonderful, and their lyrics are beautiful.
I wanted to make a list of my favourite worship songs that have always brought me so much joy and help me to enter in to true worship with my God.
So here we go, this is a list of 11 beautiful worship songs for a time of communion with The Lord..
When You Shepherd Me – Brian Doerksen
Sweep Me Away – Kari Jobe
Give Me Jesus – Gilead Baptist Church
Jesus Lover Of My Soul – Hillsong
Everything Cries Holy – Robin Mark
To The King – Matthew Ward
You Are Everything – Brian Doerksen

There’s definitely a lot more than that, but these are some of my go-tos.

Each singer/group listed are amazing, and have many more great songs, so you could always try looking up more of their work if you have enjoyed them.
Worship is a precious time between us and our Maker. Don’t forget to make it one of your main focuses in each and every day.
O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.
Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above
– Psalms 96:1-4
